Plant Propagator
Give cuttings a comfy home while they grow their roots.
If you're propagating houseplants from stems or leaves, this propagator will really help. :)
How to set it up:
- After printing, fill it with water.
- Stretch rubber bands (or any thread) across the tray edges.
- Gently rest the cuttings in the gaps so they don't fall in.
- The goal: roots touching the water, leaves dry and elevated — this prevents rot while encouraging root growth.
Keeping it going:
- Place it in bright, indirect light.
- Refresh the water every 2–3 days.
- Avoid direct sun, which can stress the cuttings.
Waiting for roots:
- Roots usually appear within 5–10 days.
- Let them reach about 2–5 cm (1–2 inches).
Moving to soil:
- Once the roots are established, plant into small pots with well-draining soil.
- Water lightly and keep in indirect light for a week while they adjust.
