Filament Drawer, Valentine's
The filament drawer, dressed up for Valentine's.
Please bear with my storytelling… :)
Fun fact: here in Japan, the Valentine's tradition is that the girls give chocolate to the boys.
Instead of buying my husband chocolates in nice packaging, I noticed at the mall that buying them individually was cheaper than a boxed set of 10 — so I bought 10 pieces one by one, and they came in a plain plastic bag. Definitely not aesthetic.
And since we have a 3D printer (and, let's be honest, an indoor filament landfill too, lol), why not make something more special to hold them?
That's how I came up with the idea of reusing empty filament boxes as a stackable drawer.
I wanted something actually useful — I'm not a fan of things that only make a gift look pretty and then get thrown away, like gift wrap. This way the chocolates got a nicer home, just in time for Valentine's Day. :)
Hope you find it useful too — Happy Valentine's Day!
